EXPERTISE

EDITING

I have been developmental editing, copyediting, and proofreading on a freelance basis since May 2014 and as a staff editor since September 2016. I have experience editing literary fiction, upmarket fiction, YA, science fiction, fantasy, memoir, science, and educational/academic texts on a variety of subjects. Samples of developmental edits and copyedits I've performed are available on the samples page.

Are you an author in need of an editor your manuscript before getting an agent or publisher? Visit my freelance page for more information!

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

From conception to publication and all the marketing, editing, and design in between, I have 14 months of experience as a book production manager. I've managed project teams of three to eight people for both book publishing and event planning, and I've created manuals to guide future iterations of project management. Samples of my management successes, including a management manual, testimonials, and data, can be found on the project management page.

EVENT MANAGEMENT

Does your project involve an event? Since August 2013, I've planned and managed a variety of literary events, including author signings, panel discussions, book launches, and full conferences. For more information on the conference I coordinated and managed in 2018, see my project management page and the Write to Publish website.
